Yes! HarborPointe Therapies is overseen by Dr. Jason Vannest, a PHD-level clinical counselor that has significant experience in supervising LPC candidates.
You will attend four hours of supervision each month, which can consist of a single 4-hour session or spread out across several sessions. We offer four supervision classes each month, one in-person, and three more offered virtually. Classes typically include 4-10 participants plus the supervisor, which provides many opportunities for thoughtful dialog, learning, and expert feedback.
Participants spread out the cost of supervision into monthly payments of $100, which is a very affordable way to complete your 100 hours. If you consistently complete 4 hours a month, you will complete your required supervision hours in 25 months.
HarborPointe Therapies uses a collegial style of supervision that offers participants mixed perspectives and rich feedback from a group of practice professionals already working in the field.
Dr. Jason Vannest has extensive experience both as a clinical field practitioner and also from working within a school counseling environment.

Jason began his clinical career in 2005 at Catholic Charities - Flint.

Mike has been serving the greater Detroit area as a therapist for nearly 15 years. His passion for helping others traces back to childhood, where curiosity about human behavior and a natural instinct to look out for others shaped who he would become. In adulthood, he first specialized in post-traumatic stress before a pivotal moment at a men's retreat led him to his true calling — men's work. He noticed that despite their differences, men tend to share familiar pain and develop similar coping patterns. Finding little in the way of specialized men's care in Michigan, Mike set out to change that, and it has been his privilege to create spaces where men can heal.
